Formanex is a french band with Anthony Taillard, Christophe Havard, Julien Ottavi.
From the beginning of its creation, in 1997, the ensemble FORMANEX was interested in the production of new musical forms in contemporary music. In this sense, it is part of the continuity of the history of experimental music.
The artistic project of this band is to explore other possibilities for the production and presentation of music in places traditionally dedicated to concert form. This is why FORMANEX’s concerts/interventions are no longer necessarily just figures of concerts but of installations, performances or actions. In addition, the group members, 3 at the base, can be multiplied according to the type of project. The composer became a member and integrated as part of the group, thus breaking any hierarchical form.
