A founding member of BEK \u2013 Bergen Centre for Electronic Arts, he is also the initiator and director of the Piksel Festival, dedicated to free technologies in artistic practice.<\/p>\n Since the early 1980s, Fr\u00f8ysland has created media-critical works that expose the \u201chype traps\u201d of the computer and media industry, questioning digital utopias through projects like Dodonews and FaceBot. His work has been shown internationally at festivals including Transmediale, Pixelache, Mal au Pixel, and Electropixel, with collaborations across experimental music, performance, and media art.<\/p>\n PIKSEL<\/p>\n Piksel is an international network and annual event dedicated to electronic art and technological freedom.
