\n“Les premiers exemples de l’utilisation du m\u00e9dia radio pour produire de l’art se trouvent dans le H\u00f6rspiel allemand (“pi\u00e8ce radiophonique”), une forme de th\u00e9\u00e2tre radiophonique qui m\u00e9lange documentaire, paysage sonore et musique \u00e9lectroacoustique avec des techniques de montage sonore.

\nLes artistes nantais Jenny Pickett et Julien Ottavi cr\u00e9ent Solar Return en 2009. Prenant les ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes \u00e9lectromagn\u00e9tiques comme point de d\u00e9part de leurs cr\u00e9ations sonores. Ils ont produit diverses partitions pour des synth\u00e9s audio doubles\/oscillateurs\/\u00e9lectroniques de bricolage, etc. qui refl\u00e8tent des mod\u00e8les et des \u00e9v\u00e9nements \u00e9lectromagn\u00e9tiques tels que des \u00e9ruptions solaires et des m\u00e2ts de t\u00e9l\u00e9phonie mobile dans les centres-villes, des environnements sonores cach\u00e9s ainsi que le monde audio insondable des appareils de cuisine. \u00c0 travers leurs performances, le duo p\u00e9n\u00e8tre profond\u00e9ment dans le monde de la fr\u00e9quence, de la statique et du son en tant qu’exp\u00e9rience physique, o\u00f9 ils m\u00e9langent des enregistrements environnementaux du cosmos aux pyl\u00f4nes en passant par les centrales nucl\u00e9aires avec de l’\u00e9lectronique en direct et diverses antennes comme instruments. Jenny Pickett a \u00e9t\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re \u00e0 se produire en direct en utilisant l’\u00e9norme antenne VLF comme instrument avec sa performance Cosmic Power Lines \u00e0 la HAB Galerie \/ Mus\u00e9e des Beaux-Arts de Nantes en 2013 puis avec Solar Return jouant l’espace physique, le public et le l’architecture du lieu par un mouvement.

\nFestival des cultures num\u00e9riques \u00e9mergentes et des pratiques \u00e9lectroniques libres, Electropixel fait partie d’un r\u00e9seau international de festivals d’arts \u00e9lectroniques. Le festival ouvre un espace singulier permettant la rencontre d’artistes (audiovisuels, musiciens, plasticiens, interm\u00e9dias, performeurs, etc.), th\u00e9oriciens, programmeurs, bricoleurs, inventeurs en tous genres et des usines du quotidien. Pour cette nouvelle \u00e9dition du festival Electropixel, nous envisageons d’approfondir le rapport au collectif et \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation partag\u00e9e \u00e0 travers un r\u00e9seau d’\u00e9changes internationaux.
\nLe festival continue d’imaginer et de penser les nouvelles modalit\u00e9s de cr\u00e9ation artistique pendant la pand\u00e9mie et notamment la d\u00e9sagr\u00e9gation de l’id\u00e9e de commun et de partage. Nous avons besoin de trouver des liens dans la cr\u00e9ation, de nouvelles fa\u00e7ons d’explorer ensemble de nouvelles \u00e9critures plut\u00f4t que d’\u00eatre isol\u00e9s, confin\u00e9s, s\u00e9par\u00e9s. Comment construire des cr\u00e9ations repr\u00e9sentatives de collectifs multiples et d\u00e9localis\u00e9s ?

Live with SOLAR RETURN
\nNantes based artists Jenny Pickett and Julien Ottavi created Solar Return in 2009. Taking electromagnetic phenomena as a starting point for their audio creations. They have produced various scores for dual audio synths\/oscillators\/DIY electronics etc\u2026which reflect patterns and electromagnetic events such as solar flares and inner city mobile phone masts, hidden sonic environments as well as the unfathomable audio world of kitchen appliances. Through their performances the duo tunnel deep into the world of frequency, static and sound as a physical experience, where they mix environmental recordings from the cosmos to pylons to Nuclear power plants with Live electronics and various antennas as instruments. Jenny Pickett was the first to perform Live using the huge VLF antenna as an instrument with her performance Cosmic Power Lines at the HAB Galerie \/ Mus\u00e9e des Beaux-Arts de Nantes in 2013 and then with Solar Return playing the physical space, the audience and the architecture of the venue through a movement.

Electropixel 12
\nFestival of emerging digital cultures and free electronic practices, Electropixel is part of an international network of electronic arts festivals. The festival opens a singular space allowing the meeting of artists (audiovisual, musicians, visual artists, intermedia, performers, etc.), theorists, programmers, tinkerers, and inventors of all kinds and of the factories of the everyday. For this new edition of the Electropixel festival, we plan to deepen the relationship to the collective and to shared creation through a network of international exchanges.
\nThe festival continues to imagine and think about the new modalities of artistic creation during the pandemic and in particular the disintegration of the idea of commonality and sharing. We need to find links in creation, new ways to explore new writing together rather than being isolated, confined, separated. How to build creations that represent multiple and delocalized collectives?
