Michael J. Schumacher (n\u00e9 en 1961) a compos\u00e9 plus de 70 \u0153uvres pour divers instruments et voix. Il figure parmi les quelques artistes \u00e0 avoir pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 leurs \u0153uvres \u00e0 la Dream House de La Monte Young<\/a> et Marianne Zazeela avec qui il a collabor\u00e9 dans les ann\u00e9es 1980. Continuateur du courant minimaliste<\/a>, depuis 1988 il exp\u00e9rimente essentiellement le m\u00e9dia \u00e9lectronique qu’il accompagne souvent \u00e0 la guitare. Il propose des installations ou des performances utilisant des drones ou “trames sonores” g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s par des logiciels musicaux. Michael J. Schumacher s’est \u00e9galement produit \u00e0 la guitare pr\u00e9par\u00e9e (en r\u00e9f\u00e9rence au piano pr\u00e9par\u00e9e de John Cage). Il est membre du Donald Miller Trio, aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de Charles Curtis<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Michael J. Schumacher (b. 1961) composed over 70 works for various instruments and voices. He is one of the few artists to have presented their works at the Dream House of La Monte Young and Marianne Zazeela with whom he collaborated in the 1980s. Continuator of the minimalist current, since 1988 he has essentially experimented with electronic media which he often accompanies on the guitar. It offers installations or performances using drones or “soundtracks” generated by musical software. Michael J. Schumacher is also produced on prepared guitar (referring to John Cage’s prepared piano). He is a member of the Donald Miller Trio, alongside Charles Curtis.<\/p>\n
