Slow tones are sounding in the space. The light seems to change color &#8211; the tones are changing slowly in pitch. The cocoon seems to move &#8211; the light <span class=\"im\">seems to get brighter and gradually shift color. Suddenly a fast <\/span>movement &#8211; a shrieking sound fills the space &#8211; then again everything quiets down &#8211; the movement, the sound, the light.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Abyssinica SIL;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Marije Baalman is an artist and researcher\/developer working in the field of interactive sound art. Since 2010 she works as a freelance artist and developer from Amsterdam and used to work as a hardware engineer at STEIM. Her current research goes into the use of wireless networks for live performance, installations and interactive environments. In her artistic work she is interested in the realtime components of the work. To realise her works she mostly uses open source technology (software and hardware) and she is an active contributor to the open source community.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Abyssinica SIL;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Marije Baalman est une artiste, chercheuse, d\u00e9veloppeur travaillant dans le domaine du son int\u00e9ractif. De 2010 \u00e0 2016 elle a travaill\u00e9 en tant qu&#8217;artiste ind\u00e9pendante \u00e0 Amsterdam sur des projets li\u00e9s au d\u00e9veloppement au STEIM (Studio For Electronic-Instrumental Music). Ses recherches actuelles se concentrent sur <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">l&#8217;utilisation de r\u00e9seaux sans fil pour la performance live &amp; sur l&#8217;installation d&#8217;environnements int\u00e9ractifs. Elle s&#8217;int\u00e9resse \u00e9galement aux composants en temps-r\u00e9el de ces installations.
